Have you ever been to a restaurant to see a whole family on their electronic devices instead of talking and enjoying each other’s company? We live in an age where everyone is so sucked into their devices that people have forgotten how to interact with each other. The innovation and continuous advancement of technology has impacted our world more than we will ever care to admit. For better or for worse, it’s here to stay. Luckily, there is a way to use technology in a constructive way to promote creativity and passion. Eturi Corp has created an app called OurPact that makes achieving this goal easier than ever.
OurPact (available on iOS and android) was developed to help parents establish a routine to teach kids responsible technology use (available on iOS and android). It is currently the #1 parent control app & family locator on the market. Features of the app include the ability to block apps, the internet, and texting, family locator, schedules, app rules, allowance, web filter, and places. OurPact has three different price points:
It’s pertinent that not only we limit children’s technology use, but we should be leading by example. If we’re telling our children they can’t have their phone during meal times, we shouldn’t be on our electronic devices either. Reinforcing the new routine will eventually just become a part of their norm. Let us know in the comments below how the app has worked for you and your family! Stay tuned next week for a blog post about the book, The Whole-Brain Child: 12 Revolutionary Strategies to Nurture Your Child’s Developing Mind! Thanks for reading!!! Seeing people who are into their device that much isn't a new scene for me. Actually, I've been so used to it since people are into their gadgets that much that it has the power to affect our relationships with other people in a not so good way. We are all encouraged to have a special connection with one another. But since technology took er and we seem not to have a control over it, we are now confused on what to do! It's about time we go back to the basic ones! Comments are closed.
